Registration is typically free or up to $10 based on venue.

If you are under years of age, you will need to register for the required Skills Day after passing the online portion of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks hunter education course.

Important! Bring your Maine Skills and Exam Day Voucher to the Skills Day as proof of having completed the online course.

What to Expect at the

This is a 3 hour classroom session that will include:

  • Firearm handling and safety
  • Firearm safety in the home
  • Treestand safety
  • Final exam

Other topics may also pertain to Mississippi-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course.

After attending and passing the portion of the Hunting education requirement, you will receive your Hunter Education Completion Card in the mail from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
